Learn How To Build Your Very Own Boat With These Easy To Follow Instructions
From The Desk Of: Edward Knox
Fellow Boat Enthusiast
I set this website up because I love anything to do with sailing and boats, including building my own. Anyone who loves the water should be able to have their own boat. That’s why I want to share my boat building knowledge with as many people as possible.
Since you’ve found this website I’m assuming you love boats as much as I do. The truth is, I’m always on the internet looking for boat building tips and tricks. While doing some research, I stumbled upon a fantastic manuscript by Mr. Larry Eisinger.
Mr Eisinger is one of the most well-known and respected boat builders in recent history. I noticed that most of his work was available and accounted for with the exception of one of his most important pieces of work, ‘How To Build 20 Boats’. Even though it was first published some years ago this book has the best boat building information I have ever seen.
Here’s just a snippet of what is covered in the 20 chapters:
Plywood and how to use it—Using the wrong type of wood will result in a boat that will sink.
Lofting—these degrees are so important when constructing your boat.
Simple step by step instructions on how to cut, measure, design and assemble ‘frames and harpin’s’.
What parts you should check before ‘planking’.
What tools, materials and accessories to use to make the safest boats.
Expert tips & tricks that will get your boat built faster and better.
Plans of how to build each particular boat
If this is the kind of information that you have been looking for, here’s the good news…
I have contacted the original copyright owners and gained permission to republish Mr. Larry Eisinger’s complete work on this website. Although I had to pay to have the manuscript reformatted and published online, boat building is my passion. Therefore, I want to share this book with as many people as possible for free.
The information is second to none and you’ll soon be building your very own boat and planning days out on the water.
A perfect boat building plan is all about getting the most awesome boat one has ever owned. Whether you are a novice or an expert, the only aim in your mind is to design something that has all the utility you ever wished for.
There are several issues to keep in mind prior to building boat trailers. The aim of every venture is to put together a top quality merchandise that can offer you with plentiful usage later on.
Decorating teenager bedrooms can be difficult. First teenagers have their own ideas in decorating their room. They may not like what you have in mind for their space. Obviously teenagers have to decide for themselves how their rooms would look and feel like However as a parent you have to incorporate their ideas with yours so that you can provide a more relaxing space for your child.
I often get posed the question, "Do your plans come full sized or do you need to loft them?" I have to truthfully answer, neither, which often confuses people because they believe home built wooden boat plans are one or the other. In these days of computer aided design (CAD) drafting, no longer is it necessary to loft boat plans, because the computer actually does this for the boat designer. What this means to the boat builder, is that all they need to do is measure and mark, not loft.
One can do many things on their own. Houseboats is one of them. With a suitable set of DIY houseboat plans, and a lot of work, houseboating can become reality in a short space of time.
